Anyway, use it to slice up Tumblr any way you please, and marvel at all the fantastic stuff that pours out.
Tons of videos? Try Vimeo.
If you're constantly hitting your daily upload limit, consider connecting your Tumblr to Vimeo. Throw your biggest files right at it. It can take it. Then come back here and toss the Vimeo URL into a video post. Seamless. Groovy. Enjoy.

Now you can press really hard on Tumblr
If you have an iPhone 6s or newer model, you can 3D Touch your way around the Tumblr app. Specific things for you to press really hard on include:
- App icon: Press on it, you'll get a shortcut to search Tumblr.
- Tumblr name or avatar: Peek at one, get a preview of that Tumblr. Pop all the way into it and see the whole thing. (Also, you can swipe upwards during your Peek to message the blog.)
- Live Photo*: Press one to make it come alive.

* Live photos have a little concentric-circle supernova icon up in the corner. That's how you spot 'em.

SSL security, which has been available on the dashboard for a while, is now here for blogs. To turn it on, go to your blog settings and enable "Always serve blog over SSL." Mmmmm, security. Check out our help docs for more info.
An update on this:
- SSL is being turned on by default for all Tumblrs that use our Official theme on the web, except those with custom domains. Because, well…Optica is the default theme, and why shouldn't secure be the default?
- This change only affects the web, because the mobile apps already use SSL all the time for your safety.
- We don't recommend it, but if for some reason you need to disable SSL, you can do so via your blog settings on the web, by turning off the "Always serve blog over SSL" option.
Stop mentioning things that aren't blogs. Start mentioning blogs!
Just type @ and a username when you're writing a post and we'll let that person know that you mentioned them. They will be thrilled by this.
Helpful little update rolling out now:
Tapping on the account tab (the little human) takes you directly to your Tumblr.
Now you're a tap closer to customizing your appearance, and to your own beautiful posts.

If you're looking for any of the following things, here's where you'll find them:
- Likes and following: You'll find those pages are right at the top of your Tumblr, along with controls to set them to public or private.
- Secondary Tumblrs: Tap your username to switch Tumblrs, or to create a new one.
- Settings: Behind that little gear in the corner, right where you'd expect them. Your drafts, queue, asks, submissions, and fan mail also live here now.
- Pages: You'll see that within those settings, there's an item called "Pages." This is referring to those tabs we mentioned along the top of your Tumblr (likes and following). Not to be confused with the web pages you can add manually to your Tumblr over at tumblr.com/customize.
