How To View Pictures On Lumix Camera
knowledgeable whistle [dihapus] bilang:
From what you say - plain the images are there!
I suspect that it'south an 'image management file' issue...you may only be able to actually view photos on the camera that are listed in this database...
You deleted the files from the photographic camera and at that point they were removed from the 'Image Management File'....so they are on the FZ28, but the camera tin't 'see' them!!!
Merely tried something, which volition work if it's but a few photos:
I took two pointless photos
Copied their file names to two images on my PC
Replaced them on the SD carte du jour with the two images from the PC
The camera recognised the new images and they could be viewed.
Patently Non a lot of skillful with loads of images!!!
If I call up of anything else, I'll add information technology in.

Also:
make certain the images are in the correctly titled binder on the SD card...
FZ28 won't recognise images on the carte'south 'desktop'
They must be in a parent binder labelled:
DCIM
Inside that folder they must be in folders labelled:
102_PANA
103_PANA
104_PANA
etc etc

Hmm.... have tried various "re-naming" techniques... but nevertheless cant get the camera to show the pics that have been uploaded back to the camera carte...
when the pics are downloaded to my computer, they are automatically renumbered and put into a "date" binder.... and when I fabricated a new binder and called it DCIM and put the pics back into that binder the camera wanted me to "merge" the renamed binder with the folder on the camera (also called DCIM) ...
I have also re-named the pics 102_PANA004.jpg re-loaded to cam but still non showing.
I`ll have to give upwardly !

Erm.... how practice I view the pics on a flash drive?
Volition have a go at taking the card out as at that place are but 4 or 5 pics I want to show on the photographic camera !..
.
As before... the pics went on to the memory merely failed to show... (they were there, cos they downloaded back off the camera !..)
Looks similar I will have to print them off and have paper copies to show ! ! ! ..
Thanks for the suggestions...

Later transfering the image to a flash drive most computers take a port for the wink drive to be plugged in too as some sort of programme to view them. Put the flash drive into the other estimator and just click into the computer icon and open up the flash bulldoze. I transfer all my family images to a print by taking my flash drive to a CVS drug shop and plug it in and brand prints.
I should add the images tin be deleted from the wink drive when finished.
Or yous could, I suppose, take the bill of fare and plug information technology in although if you take images on it that aren't for viewing thay will still be there.

It'southward definitely an 'Prototype Direction File' issue....my suggestion about a file name bandy does work - I tried it... and 5 images would accept just a few minutes.
Curious...why do your images change file names when you consign them to your PC? Mine don't do that.

CM...
OK... My file name change... Can`t remember when I started downloading but I fabricated a binder called Digital Camera Downloads, and when I kickoff downloaded there was an option on the windows downloader equally to where the pics were to be downloaded to... and I specified the folder... when they leave the camera, they are put into a seperate folder with the present date as identifier... e.g. todays downloads (whenever they were taken is not relevant) will exist downloaded into a folder 2011-03-31 and tomorrow`s will be in 2011-04-01... etc etc.. the pics are then numbered 001.jpg 002.jpg et al. in that detail folder...
I don`t know how or why... (can`t recall) it happened that style. but I utilize Irfanview to view and edit from the downloaded folder. and not Windows Picture viewer..... maybe this is why.
so... how do you exercise a file name swap... in piece of cake steps by example please!..

Here goes!
You desire to put 5 images back on your FZ28 for viewing so...
1) Shoot v totally pointless pictures on the camera.
2) Re-create and paste their file names into some sort of text / Word document for ease of employ...correct mitt click on each thumbnail to access the file name
3) Observe the 5 images you desire to put back onto the camera for viewing and rename them with the five 'useless photo' names....simply right click on each image thumbnail and 'rename'.
4) Drop the 5 images that have just been renamed into the aforementioned folder on the FZ28 where the 'useless' photos are...they will replace them and as the file names are exactly the same, the camera'south management system should recognise them!
I think that makes sense :0)

The camera somehow knows files have been edited, and will not brandish them. I'm not sure what information technology is.

Briefly looking into information technology...
The renumbering and 'date foldering' of images when uploaded to your calculator means that a piece of software is changing your files so that they fit into a new file management system....this is near certainly why they can't exist viewed dorsum on the camera.
Images uploaded to my PC are simply dragged and dropped to folders with no apparent changes - these photos were the ones I successfully viewed again on the FZ28.
Just tried the same routine with images that I know I have edited in some way / inverse the file proper name of.....'NO GO!' They totally refused to be viewed on the camera whatsoever I tried!
Lamentable Skoda - looks like a print job!

LOL.
I idea of this some time agone, as I considered actually formating a picture; to watch on the camera, while traveling. It didn't work.
I recall thinking, that camera needs the files, in a format, that information technology created; to be able to do information technology'southward in-cam manipulations. Changed files, are locked out, to avoid issues.
Notation: I've seem other cameras display, yet other cameras photos. This is oft problematic, equally the zoom works differently, with different native resolutions, and aspect ratios.
However, if anyone knows what the camera is noticing, as changed, I would like to know what it is.
